Opening Bridges of Scientific and Academic Cooperation With the University of Geneva/Switzerland

Our university delegation, headed by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mushtak Talib Al-Neda, visited the University of Geneva, and was received by the University Director, Dr. Stephen Berthet. The two parties expressed a real desire to open the horizons of scientific and academic cooperation, especially in the fields of medicine, law, political science, administration, economics, specialized research centers and scientific and humanitarian specializations. This comes within the university's plan to create a wide network of international research cooperation.

 

During the meeting, the director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Asst. Prof. Dr. Duraid Muayyad Abed, gave a brief presentation including an overview to the university, the study programs for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, research lines, and academic and research programs at the university.

The President of the University referred to the international relations file and the position that the university currently occupies in global and regional rankings.

On the other hand, the director of International Relations at the University of Geneva gave a presentation about the University of Geneva in all its formations.

It was agreed to initiate cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the two parties, especially in the fields of medicine, law, political science, environment and climate change. The two parties also agreed to cooperate in relevant fields that can be supported by the World Health Organization and the United Nations.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Tariq Hamid Mahmoud, Head of the Security and Community Studies Department, from the Strategic Studies Center.
