The Department of Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering/ College of Engineering at the University of Anbar ranks the second in the student engineering forum for the graduation projects of students from the faculties of engineering in the Arab world and Islamic countries. The forum was organized by the University of Sultan Qaboos (Sultanate of Oman) for the period from 26/2/2023 to 2/3/2023, with the participation of (48) graduate research projects in various engineering disciplines. The Department of Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering participated in a research project entitled :

Biodiesel production from used edible oil and a study of its effect on the properties of bitumen.

The research was prepared by 4th stage students – undergraduate studies/Department of Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering . They are: Abdul Jalil Qusay Jumaa and Musab Salam Kafi. The research project was supervised by Prof. Dr. Omar Mustafa Hussein, Head of the Department, and Prof. Khaled Awad Mohamed, a teaching staff member in the Department.
