The University achieves a new academic achievement

For the first time in its history...The University of Anbar achieves a new academic achievement by entering the URAP global ranking.

The University of Anbar has achieved a prestigious position among Iraqi universities after appearing for the first time in the URAP global ranking (University Ranking by Academic Performance). The URAP is based on the Clarivate Web of Science database. It includes 3,000 international universities evaluated according to precise criteria for measuring research performance as the University of Anbar ranked sixth among Iraqi universities.

The URAP ranking is one of the global academic rankings based on the research performance of universities. The ranking is based on several scientific criteria and indicators, including: number of articles (21%), total citations (21%), total research impact (18%), field-adjusted citation impact (15%), total impact of scientific documents (10%), and international collaboration (15%).

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Saleh Al-Neda, President of the University of Anbar, congratulated all university members on this distinguished academic achievement, which adds to the university's successes in the field of scientific research. He also urged researchers and faculty members to redouble their efforts to produce sound scientific research that reflects the university's competence and research capabilities, and enhances its standing at the local and international levels.
