A volunteer campaign to combat drugs and electronic extortion

Under the title "Yes for Life No for Drugs" and under the guidance of the President of the University and with the support of the Dean of the College of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Imad Abdul Rahman Mohamed, a volunteer team of students of the College of Science/ Department of Biology, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized a voluntary campaign to combat drugs and electronic extortion under the supervision of Dr. Rajaa' Fadel Hamdi, a staff member at the Department of Biology.

The voluntary campaign was implemented through guidance posters aimed at promoting awareness of drugs and ways to prevent them, introducing students to the legal, criminal and educational aspects of drugs of all kinds, defining their negative social and behavioral effects, and showing the methods of luring drug users and the causes leading to addiction, foremost of which are bad friends. Posters were distributed to all colleges on the university campus. It is hoped that a number of posters will be delivered to colleges outside the university campus.

The Dean, on his part, affirmed his support for such activities and events, thanking the team's efforts and appreciating their keenness and dedication to serving the community.

For their part, the President of the University and the deans of the colleges and their assistants welcomed this initiative and appreciated it.

It is worth noting that the volunteer team has a number of activities that will be launched successively for all colleges after obtaining official consent.
