The President of University Inaugurates the Two Projects of Poultry Breeding and Sheep Fattening and Inspects the Mushroom Laboratory at the College of Agriculture

 

As part of the direction of the Presidency of the University of Anbar to develop practical experiences and scientific laboratories, Prof. Dr. Mushtak Talib Saleh Al-Neda, President of University of Anbar, got today, Tuesday, the fifth of April, the first fruit of the mushroom project, marking the opening of the mushroom laboratory in the College of Agriculture, which is the first laboratory of its kind in the governorate. Cultivation of mushrooms and conducting scientific research under the supervision of specialized cadres at the college of Agriculture. The importance of this project comes in fulfillment of the university’s mission in community service. It is also one of the promising projects that develop students’ experiences in order to prepare and develop them in developing small projects and to fill the food shortage that the world suffers from at the present time and to achieve the vision of Iraq 2030 in sustainable development. This project was established with funding from the Reconstruction Fund in the liberated areas, in cooperation with Anbar Governorate, and with the follow-up of the University Presidency represented by Prof Dr. Mushtak Talib Al-Neda.

After that, He cut the ribbon marking the inauguration of the projects of poultry breeding and sheep fattening, which were established by the German ASB organization. His Excellency blessed the College, its professors and students for these achievements in a short time and praised the tireless work of the deanship of the College represented by Prof. Dr. Adham Ali Abed, Dean of the College and his continuous advanced staff in implementing projects that achieve the highest quality content in training and developing students’ practical capabilities.

After that, he met with postgraduate and undergraduate students in the greenhouses, familiarizing themselves with the implemented graduation projects, and he listened to the students.
