In the presence of Dean of College of Basic Education - Hadithah, Prof. Dr. Mudhar Abd Ali, the Psychological and Educational Counselling Unit in the college held a counselling seminar entitled "the legal, health and psychological consequences of drug abuse and addiction". The seminar included three axes, namely, the health axis, which was dealt with by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Duffik Ahmed, head of Department of General Sciences regarding drugs, their types and ways of taking them, as well as the health effects that result from them. The psychological axis presented by Dr. Ali Rabie' Hussein. He confirmed that drugs are considered in their entirety to be substances that affect life in general, as they affect the user’s decisions, behaviors and way of thinking, and among the psychological effects is the resulting anxiety, constant tension, a feeling of instability, a feeling of constriction and depression, with nervousness and loneliness in mood, and finally the legal axis by Sheikh Dr. Hammoud Muhammad Ahmed, in which he spoke about drugs from the point of view of Islamic law, saying that drugs are a type of evil things that causes a lot of harm to humans, whether In terms of the mind, in terms of the body, or in terms of money, and it is considered one of the evils that Allah Almighty has forbidden and our Prophet , referring to some of the honorable hadiths of the Prophet and the Qur’anic verses that forbid this phenomenon that leads to the destruction of families and the disintegration of societies.

The seminar was attended by Dean of the College, a number of the College's affiliates, and a group of students.
