The section was established on April 3rd, 2002 according to the university’s order No. 175.

 

Painting Art

It means all the activities that aims to discover the abilities, talents, acquired and inherited power of individuals to develop it to high level in the civilized society.

We mean by breading the individual is provide him by:

1-    Useful information, facts, rules and theories.

2-    Actual and applicable practiced experiences.

3-    Modern mental, muscles and social skills.

4-    Useful  habits .

 

The Aim from Teaching Painting Art:

The purpose of teaching students is not producing art works, but is to straighten their behavior and educate them through this art works which considered as a mean to make the students acquire some morals, in other words, to train the students for some habits and skills and to provide them with information and morals as well as enjoying themselves.

Painting Art Objectives

1-    Developing the emotional side.

2-    Training the senses to use the unlimited and perfect usage.

3-    Training on good behaving in work and dealing.

5-    Relieving from tension and thoughts.

6-   Assuring self confidence and responsibility feeling.

7-   Confirming social ties and unifying people feelings.

8-   Training to use some equipments and tools.

9-   Acquainting with some equipment usage sources and marketing.

10- Getting familiar with some technical, professional and industrial expressions to be able to speak with them.

11-  Investing time with fruitful and useful things.

12-  Respecting hand made workers.

Activities of Arts and Activities Section for Academic Year 2010-2011

1-  The section seeks to polarize students with art talents and intentions (drawing, sculpturing, pottery, Arabic calligraphy, music and sewing), in order to develop and care for these talent on theoretical and practical level.

2-  To focus on the section to be an active station to exploit these talent and thoughts for the highest levels of progress and flourishing.

3-   To spread friendship and cooperation spirit among students of the university from different collages.

4- To deliver theoretical and practical lectures by the section staff in different spheres supported with art works.

5- The section works on imaging the university with suitable appearance through setting art works in appropriate places.

6-  Organizing two training courses, one in each season for the university professors, staff and students in different art spheres.

7-  Organizing annual comprehensive art fair on the occasion of the university foundation.

8-  Organizing a special fair for the activities and arts section on March 16 annually.

9- Establishing folkloric house to contain heritage pieces personnel photos of scientists, professors, arts, poets, and Al-Anbar literature namely (documentation and archives process).

10-Establishing special pavilion for Al-Anbar professors and employees martyrs who were killed by US occupation troops.

11-Organizing continuous education courses for teachers and staff of Al-Anbar education directorate on arts education to develop their talents.

12-Establishing art techniques education laboratory.

2nd course of 2nd season as follow:

1-    Improvement of writing course.

The section organizes a training course for the university male and female employees on January 20th to March 31, 2011, participants were:

1-    Arabic calligraphy (19 male and female employees)

2-    Drawing (2 male and female employees)

3-    Sewing (9 female employees)

Important Notice:

Above mention courses were free of charge. Al-Anbar University bore all cost.

·  Organizing annual comprehensive art fair on the 23rd anniversary of Al-Anbar University on December 30, 2010.

·   Organizing comprehensive art fair on section hall on March 22, 2011.

· Establishing folkloric house to contain heritage pieces personnel photos of scientists, professors, military leaders, arts, poets, and Al-Anbar literature namely (documentation and archives process).

·  Establishing special pavilion for Al-Anbar professors and employees martyrs who were killed by US occupation troops.

·   Establishing a studio for different musical tools.

·   Establishing a modern laboratory for art and education techniques.

· Organizing continuous education courses for teachers and staff of Al-Anbar education directorate on arts education to develop their talents.

· The section participated in Heet cultural fair on march 24th-26th , 2011, with the following works:

2-    (20) oil painting .

3-    (15) sketch coal and water colors
